tin goose to the rescue
Heathrow was...an airport. Nothing exciting, nothing horrible, just an airport. After making several laps around Terminal 1, we decided to follow Sarah's sage advice - any pub/bar/restaurant with an animal's name in it is good. Left to choose between Giraffe and The Tin Goose, we chose the Goose because, we'll, it didn't advertise itself as "healthy" like Giraffe. Fish and chips and pub burgers are not meant to be healthy. And giraffes are in Africa, not London. Duh. After a few pints, Heathrow was suddenly less of an airport and more of a World Cup staging area - passengers in jerseys, highlights on TV, trinkets being carried by kids and, most importantly, THE world cup...
